Tindirenen Fm
Type Locality and Naming
In drillholes of the DASA graben. This seems to be a recently assigned Formation name (post-2010? or 2015?) for a unit found only deep within the DASA graben of the Tim Mersoï Sub-Basin, which was highlighted by the drilling programs conducted for the search of uranium. Group: Possibly (?) the Terada Gr

Alternating medium and fine-grained sandstones with blackish/greyish argillite lenses; micro-conglomerate at the base with silica cement; horizontal strata. Unknown thickness.

Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
According to the original authors, the Tindirenen Fm is assigned a level between the Teragh Fm and Farrazekat Fm. However, the correct stratigraphic level is ambiguous and unlike what is presented in the present lexicon since the referenced authors place the Farrazekat Fm younger than the Teragh Fm (see Figure); the opposite is true. These same authors also include it within the Terada Gr. More information is needed to assign the correct age to this unit and to ascertain the names of the underlying and overlying formations.
